The holiday feast is fun for us… but not always safe for our pups. A few reminders to keep tails wagging:
• No cooked bones — they can splinter.
• Skip turkey skin and fatty foods (hello, pancreatitis).

• Grapes, raisins, and chocolate are big no-gos.
• Keep trash secure — dogs love a post-dinner “dumpster dive.”

A little reminder for vet visits: wait times aren’t a sign of poor care, they’re a sign that the team is giving each pet the attention they deserve. 💛
If you’re waiting, it means your pet is stable enough to do so. Emergencies happen, and those pets need immediate care.

We do not see exotic or pocket pets, but every once in a while one comes through our doors for a nail trim. That was the case with Sonic, the hedgehog. Seeing him truly made our morning.

Fun fact: When threatened, hedgehogs have an incredible safety mechanism — they roll themselves into a tight, spiky ball! 🦔 Their back muscles contract to pull the skin and quills up and around their body, protecting their soft face, belly, and legs. It’s basically nature’s built-in armor system — adorable and effective!
